adequacy of consideration

whether consideration (thing being exchanged in a contract) offered by one party is fair. Courts, when deciding the enforceability of a contract, generally do not consider the adequacy of the consideration. For example, courts generally do not allow parties to relitigate contract prices simply because a party subsequently asserts that an amount was unfair.
