Refers to the demand for a good or service for which the demand changes in response to changes in price. As a price rises, the demand falls. Consumers are sensitive to price changes. These goods tend to have many substitutes that consumers can move on to if the price for one increases. Examples include internet service or Netflix vs. Amazon Prime (subject to some debate). Compare Inelastic goods and demand. See elasticity.
