Predatory pricing

Pricing, especially temporary, by one or more entities to drive out competition by lowering prices below cost, causing a competitor to close, leave the market or suffer some kind of market loss. Often a period of predatory pricing, a firm will raise its prices back to market price in a manner reflecting its increased market or monopolistic power.
